Together

Together

Together is one of the only short-term, walk-in shelters in southern New Jersey, providing 24-hour emergency shelter for youth, age 9-18, who find themselves in need of a safe place to live. Together provides emergency housing for youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, human trafficking or those youth who have runaway or are in need of safe housing due to a variety of circumstances.

Together is a caring and healing home for children where they receive support and work on their future with the goal of family reunification. When returning home is not the safest choice, Together counselors seek alternative, stable living arrangements. Center For Family Services Safe and Supportive Housing programs provide a continuum of care for youth in need of a long-term safe place to live.

Together provides:

  • food, clothing, and medical services
  • individual, group, parent, and family counseling
  • advocacy
  • life skills training
  • educational and tutoring services
  • drug and alcohol screenings
  • recreational activities
  • serving all genders

Skilled counselors help children establish goals and support them as they return to a more stable home environment.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming Shelter - Together emergency shelter is an LGBTQIA+ affirming shelter.
